Each case will initially be presented by a visiting professor (Discussor) who received the case and will have 10 minutes. It will then be discussed by the guest who submitted the case (case responsible) for 10 minutes. At the end, we will have 5 minutes for interaction with the audience.

CASE 1


Patient: Male, 3 years and 11 months old, accompanied by his parents. Chief Complaint: "This lump grew on my son's chin." History of current illness: Referred to an external service for evaluation of painless swelling in the right submandibular region, with evolution of one month. Past medical history: allergy to latex and to the combination of sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim.

Family history: n.d.n. Complementary tests: Hematological: Hb= 11.8; Ht=38.3%; Plaq = 385 thousand; TP=117% (RNI=0.98); Gly=85; Ur=24; Cr=0.4; ECG: Sinus rhythm; FC: 89bpm; Chest X-ray: Normal

CASE 2


Patient: Female, 12 years old. Chief Complaint: “Increased volume in my mouth”. History of current illness: Progressive volume increase, Evolution of ±11 months, Discrete spontaneous painful symptomatology, Antibiotic therapy for 7 days, with no change in the condition. Past medical history: familial genetic investigation for Fabry disease: negative for the patient.

Family history: Mother and maternal grandfather - Fabry Disease. Physical Examination: ExtraOral: Increase in hardened volume in the right mandibular body, with no change in skin color. IntraOral: Slight increase in volume in the vestibule fundus in the region from 44 to 46. Complementary exams: Panoramic radiography and occlusal radiography.

CASE 3


Patient: Male, 39 years old. Main Complaint: “Presence of a small nodule (1 cm), asymptomatic, in the gingiva”. History of current disease: Patient referred by CD to surgery specialization outpatient clinic to assess the need for biopsy; Nodule in the region between the left canine and first premolar; Asymptomatic referred by CD; Evolution of approximately one month.

Past medical history: testicular cancer cured approximately 10 years ago. Family history: n.d.n Physical examination: ExtraOral: n.d.n; IntraOral: Firm nodule on palpation; Ill-defined limits; Absence of tooth mobility. Complementary exams: Panoramic and periapical radiographs sent by the CD and tomography requested after biopsy.

CASE 4


Patient: male, 87 years old, rural worker. Main Complaint: “Growth in the mouth, on the left side, which is uncomfortable”. History of current illness: Identified by patient approximately 1 week ago; Intermittent local pain; History of tooth extractions in the region, without knowing exactly the time of extractions. Past medical history: Hypertensive; Pacemaker implantation a month ago; Hypoparathyroidism; Prior Chagas Disease and Glaucoma; Medications in use: AAS, Losartan, Carvedilol, Puran, Timolol Malealto.

Family history: n.d.n. Physical examination: ExtraOral: n.d.n. IntraOral: single, nodular lesion on the left mandibular ridge; slightly reddish/purple, with telangiectasias; sessile, ± 3 cm in greatest diameter; hardened. Complementary exams: Panoramic Rx, Cone-beam computed tomography; Anatomopathological examination of incisional biopsy. Habits: Non-smoking / Non-alcoholic.
