Instructions for the submission of papers

The submission of the abstract for the 42^nd Brazilian Congress of Stomatology and Oral Pathology may be performed before paying the registration fee at the event, provided that this submission is made until February 2016. After that date, the submission may only be performed after registration fee payment.

During the submission, congressmen should choose one of the following categories:

• Oral Presentation of Clinical Cases (OP)
• Clinical Case Panel (CCP)
• Scientific Research Panel (SRP)

Each participant may submit a maximum of four (4) papers for presentation as the main author, being two (2) works in the category OA or CCP and two (02) works in the category SRP; however, they may participate as co-author in others without a limited number of works.

Each proposal work should be linked to a thematic area:

• Stomathology
  
• Oral pathology
  
• Imaging Oral and maxillofacial (IOMF)
  
• Surgery and Traumatology Buco-Maxillofacial (STBMF)
  
• Head and Neck Surgery (HNS)
  
• Oral Oncology (OO)
  
• Otorhinolaryngology (ORL)
  
• Related areas in multidisciplinary character

Abstracts must be submitted electronically through the congressman area. Abstracts sent by e-mail or mail will not be accepted

In the area of IOMF, STBMF, HNS, OO, ORL and related areas in multidisciplinary character it will only be accepted those papers related to Stomathology and Oral Pathology.

Standards for abstract preparation

Clinical case: Oral Presentation and panel form

Title: It must be submitted in capital letters and in ENGLISH

Authors: The authors' names must be written in full for publication. Each abstract may have up to seven (7) authors, with the host being the first author, and the last author being the advisor.

Abstract: It should be submitted in ENGLISH with a maximum of 150 words. It may be provided a brief introduction (optional), but must necessarily contain a description of the case, additional tests to lock diagnosis and proservation of the case. There must not be provided information about the institution or place of work development.

NOTE: You do not need to insert keywords or a bibliography. If the abstract of Clinical Case submitted for oral presentation does not fit into this category, you may be transferred to the Clinical Case Panel category.

Scientific Research Panel

Title: It must be submitted in capital letters and in ENGLISH

Authors: The authors' names must be written in full for publication. Each abstract may have up to seven (7) authors, with the host being the first author, and the advisor, the last author

Abstract: It must be submitted in ENGLISH with a maximum of 200 words. It must also be structured and contain the following topics: Objective (s), Study Design, Results and Conclusion (s). Information about the institution or place of work development must not be provided.

NOTE: You do not need to insert keywords or a bibliography

Abstracts Evaluation Criteria

1 – Relevance / contribution of the study to the current state of knowledge;
2 – Originality of the study;
3 – Rarity / unusual clinical presentation / diagnostic difficulty of the case;
4 – Proservation / case follow-up;
5 – Work adaptation to the category in which it was registered;

We highlight below the main criteria that determine, alone or together, the failure of the work::

1 – Inadequacy of the abstract to the above rules;
2 – Information about the institution or place of work development.

DIREECTIONS FOR MAKING THE PANELS (BANNERS)

DIMENSIONS
90 cm in width by 1.20 m high.

TITLE
It must be in English and the same as in the submitted abstract. However, the remaining contents of the panel may be in Portuguese.
NOTE: Below the title and in smaller letters should appear the names of authors and their bindings, including department, institution, city and state.

PRESENTER'S NAME
It must be underlined and accompanied by a photo displayed in the upper right corner (optional).

PANEL BODY
It should be self-explanatory, preferable with the least writing and as many illustrations as possible. It is suggested that the conclusions be placed in the form of items. It is not mandatory to insert abstract or references
