Título: ADENOID AMELOBLASTOMA WITH DENTINOID: A CASE REPORT

Nome do Apresentador: Eduardo Dos Santos VIDAL

Categoria do Trabalho: Painel de caso clínico (PCC)

Área Temática: Patologia Oral

Resumo: A 32-year-old Caucasian female presented with a friable, hemorrhagic intraoral nodule associated with impacted tooth 48, exhibiting a roseus coloration, soft consistency, and a sessile with a 2cm extension, evolving over a 3-year period. Cone-beam computed tomography revealed intraosseous evidence of a hypodense region associated with tooth 48. In the axial section, bone cortex expansion and buccal/lingual fenestrations were noted. Initial diagnostic considerations included dentigerous cyst and ameloblastoma. An incisional biopsy confirmed the diagnosis as conventional ameloblastoma with an acanthomatous pattern. Following complete lesion removal, microscopic analysis revealed, in addition to the ameloblastoma component, duct-like structures, a cribriform architecture, and the presence of dentinoid material, supported by positive immunohistochemical stains (CK19, CK14, β-catenin) and low Ki-67 (<5%), confirming adenoid ameloblastoma with dentinoid. While studies have documented cases of this new entity in the gnathic bones, further characterization is crucial for understanding its etiopathogenesis and biological behavior.
