Resumo: A 59-year-old male patient was referred to the oral medicine department because of persistent sialorrhea and dysphagia resulting from squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus that was treated with radiotherapy in 2021. The patient was taking omeprazole 20mg daily and denied smoking or alcohol consumption regularly. During evaluation, a hard asymptomatic nodule was identified on the right lateral border of the patients tongue. An incisional biopsy revealed adenosquamous carcinoma, and the patient underwent partial glossectomy with supraomohyoid neck dissection. Two months later, the patient developed a hard submucosal nodule on the lower lip, which was diagnosed as conventional polymorphic adenocarcinoma. Metastatic lesions of polymorphic adenocarcinoma were also detected in the right temporal region, eyebrow, upper and lower lips. Palliative chemotherapy was recommended, consisting of eight cycles of carboplatin AUC 5 and paclitaxel 175 mg/m2 administered every 21 days, followed by the FOLFOX (leucovorin, fluorouracil and oxaliplatin) second-line chemotherapy protocol.
