Título: DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION OF DIDACTIC ATLAS TO IMPROVE THE TEACHING OF ORAL PATHOLOGY

Resumo: This study sought to develop and evaluate the Atlas of Oral Histopathology, which was created as a teaching resource to facilitate the teaching and learning process in Oral Pathology. A cross-sectional study was carried out, using an anonymous questionnaire, to assess student satisfaction with the Atlas. It was found that 100% of students completely agreed that the Atlas contributed to learning in practical classes and that it helped to consolidate knowledge, facilitating the understanding of histopathological characteristics. Furthermore, 95.2% and 4.8% fully and partially agreed, respectively, that the work helped in revising the content, resulting in good performance in the evaluations. Regarding the images, 95.2% gave an excellent value (grade 5) for the quality of the images and the indications of histopathological characteristics using colored arrows, while the others indicated great quality (grade 4). All participants were very satisfied (grade 5), considering the Atlas extremely necessary (grade 5). It is inferred that the creation of the Atlas represented an important and innovative approach, favoring teaching and learning, with a view to excellent student satisfaction. Therefore, the adoption of teaching resources in the teaching of Oral Pathology is recommended, aiming for more efficient, easy and interesting learning.
