Resumo: A 6-year-old male patient with pheoderma presented a slight increase in volume in the mandible on the right side and expansion of the fornix between teeth 84 and 42, with normal color of the mucosa, fibro-elastic consistency and painless on palpation. Panoramic radiography showed a radiolucent image in the body of the mandible, involving the apex of the not yet fully formed roots of 46, the germ of 44 and 45. On the tomography, an osteolytic image was observed, measuring approximately 35 mm, with expansion and destruction of the vestibular cortex of the body. of the mandible, and thinning of the lingual and basilar. Incisional biopsy revealed a lesion of benign mesenchymal origin. Immunohistochemical examination revealed positivity for LMA and H-caldesmon. The diagnosis was myofibroma, which represents a rare benign tumor common in children, The patient is in a good state of health under clinical follow-up, with no recurrence.
