Resumo: A 21-year-old female, single, leucoderma patient came to the stomatologist with a lesion on the lower anterior vestibular gingival ridge, with a history of previous removal 4 months earlier and recurrence. Intraoral physical examination revealed a nodular, irregular, smooth, normochromic, asymptomatic lesion, with initial diagnostic hypotheses of pyogenic granuloma and peripheral giant cell lesion. A periapical radiograph of the lesion showed no alteration in the bone pattern. An excisional biopsy of the lesion was performed and histological examination revealed a proliferation of connective tissue containing bone and calcification, compatible with the diagnosis of peripheral ossifying fibroma. After complete removal of the lesion, there was no recurrence.
