Resumo: Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is a non-Hodgkins lymphoid neoplasm, of B cells, lymphnode or extranodal origin, aggressive with and low survival rate.
A 57-year-old male patient diagnosed with MCL in the oropharynx in 2016, treated with chemotherapy, achieved remission. After 7 years, presented a pink 2x3cm nodule in the right buccal mucosa, smooth surface and firm. He reported dysphagia and rapid evolution. The diagnostic hypotheses were salivary gland tumor or lymphoma.
A guided puncture biopsy showed an oval lesion, with density of soft tissues in the oral region, in contact with the oral mucosa. Microscopic and immunohistochemical analysis were compatible with LCM. Treatment was chemotherapy and autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). The patient is in post-HSCT follow-up with good clinical evolution.
Oral manifestations of non-Hodgkins lymphomas are rare, especially of MCL. Lesions do not present pathognomonic characteristics. Early diagnosis implies a better prognosis.
