Título: OSTEOLIPOMA A RARE CASE ON THE LOWER LIP

Resumo: A 57-year-old male patient, Caucasian, was referred to the stomatology clinic complaining of "increased volume in my lips". Extraoral physical examination showed a slight increase in volume in the lower lip. On intraoral examination, an oval, normochromic, soft, mobile sessile nodule was observed in the region of the lower lip, without pain on palpation, measuring 20 mm in its largest diameter, with a history of growth over the last 4 years. Diagnostic hypotheses were pleomorphic adenoma and lipoma. An excisional biopsy was performed, showing a histopathological report of Osteolipoma. Osteolipomas are subtypes of lipomas with bone metaplasia, mostly with bone tissue inside and extremely rare occurrences in the oral cavity, with scarce literature with the few diagnosed cases presenting a good prognosis. Histologically, it presents mature adipose tissue surrounded by bone tissue or with bone tissue inside. Surgical excision is the definitive treatment with no reports of recurrence.
