Título: AMELOBLASTOMA: A CASE REPORT OF AN UNUSUAL MANIFESTATION OF THE LESION

Resumo: A 56-year-old female patient with the presence of an intraosseous lesion in the right anterior region of the mandible with bone expansion. The patient reported a previous lesion but without confirming the diagnosis. A clinical examination presented vestibular expansion with movement of elements 33 and 34, without ulceration. Radiographically, presented a radiolucent multilocular pattern of "soap bubbles", without reabsorption of the roots. The diagnostic hypotheses were botryoid odontogenic cyst and keratocyst. An excisional biopsy was performed, and the histopathologic diagnosis was follicular and acanthomatous intraosseous ameloblastoma. Ameloblastoma mimicking a cyst lesion should represent a challenge to the clinical diagnosis, which according to literature, accounts for 1 to 10% of all ameloblastomas. Histopathological analysis is essential for the final diagnosis and indication of correct treatment and prognosis.
