Título: RECURRENT LICHENOID LESION IN A YOUNG PATIENT WITHOUT RISK FACTORS: A CASE REPORT

Resumo: A 30-year-old white woman with no exposure to risk factors presented with white plaques with striations on the right ventral tongue and anterior region of the upper vestibular floor. She underwent a toluidine blue test, which was positive in the ventral tongue, and this region was incisionally biopsied. Diagnosis of oral lichenoid lesion (OLL) with moderate oral epithelial dysplasia (OED). The patient underwent excisional biopsy with a high-powered laser and the lesion recurred after a month, and was again accessed by incisional biopsy with a report of OLL with severe OED, after which the OLL was completely removed with a final diagnosis of OLL with severe OED. The patient has been followed up for four months with no new lesions. Since OLL is a oral potentially malignant disorder, it should be closely monitored due to the risk of malignant transformation, especially in young patients without associated classic risk factors.
