Título: CHONDROBLASTIC OSTEOSARCOMA: A CASE REPORT

Resumo: A 37-year-old male patient was referred due to a recurrence of malignant mesenchymal neoplasia. The patient presented with painful symptoms in the face, trismus, oral bleeding, and diplopia. Upon physical examination, tumors were identified in the oral mucosa and left maxillary sinus, along with lymphadenopathy. Imaging revealed an infiltrative expansive formation located adjacent to the residual left maxillary sinus, extending into the oral, masticatory, and orbital spaces. Histopathological review revealed malignant cartilaginous features consistent with Chondrosarcoma or Chondroblastic Osteosarcoma (CO). The neoplastic cells were positive for S100 and CD99, and Ki-67 showed a high proliferative index. The patient underwent a new cycle of chemotherapy followed by surgery. Microscopic examination of the surgical specimen confirmed the diagnosis of high-grade CO, with evidence of perineural and vascular invasion, as well as compromised margins. Due to disease recurrence observed after two months, the patient is currently receiving palliative care.
