Resumo: A 50-year-old male patient, with a history of chronic tobacco use and occupational exposure to sunlight, was admitted for left orbital exenteration due to extensive invasion compatible with poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma. During the surgical procedure, an ulcerated lesion was noted on the lower lip. Dental examination revealed an extensive ulcerated lesion, involving the vermilion border and inner lip mucosa, with increased volume, hardened and raised borders, associated with bleeding and non-tender to palpation presented 2 months ago. An incisional biopsy was performed, with histopathological examination confirming moderately differentiated squamous cell carcinoma. The patient was referred to head and neck surgeon for surgical planning. Synchronous cancers can present unique challenges in terms of diagnosis and treatment, as they may require a multidisciplinary approach. Regular follow-up is crucial for detecting any recurrence, as well as for managing potential side effects of treatment and supporting the patients overall well-being.
