Título: OSSIFYING FIBROMA INVOLVING MAXILLARY SINUS: A CASE REPORT

Resumo: A 13-year-old male patient was referred to the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department due to edema on the right hemiface. During clinical examination, extraorally he presented a volume increase in the paranasal region and, intraorally, bulging of the bottom of the vestibule of the maxilla, with a firm consistency, normal color and painless on palpation. On imaging examination, a radiopaque lesion was identified in the region of the alveolar bone extending to the maxillary sinus, with limits on the orbital floor and lateral nasal wall. After incisional biopsy, the lesion was excised under general anesthesia. The specimen was submitted to histopathological study, revealing fibrous connective tissue, trabeculated bone tissue and fragments of respiratory mucosa, compatible with Ossifying Fibroma. In the 2-year postoperative period, bone repair was observed within normal limits, without signs of recurrence or volume increase in the operated region. The patient presented without complaints or painful symptoms.
