Título: ODONTOGENIC KERATOCYST IN THE ANTERIOR MAXILLARY REGION: CASE REPORT

Resumo: Odontogenic keratocyst is a developmental odontogenic cyst that normally affects the posterior region of the mandible. The present study was developed with the objective of reporting a clinical case of an odontogenic keratocyst in the anterior maxillary region. A 52-year-old male patient sought dental care for rehabilitation with dental implant. On clinical examination, multiple areas of dental absences, teeth with coronary destruction and root remnants were observed. For better evaluation, a panoramic radiograph was requested in which a radiolucent, unilocular image was observed, well delimited, in the anterior maxillary region. In the tomographic image, bone expansion, thinning and rupture area of the corticals were observed. Enucleation of the lesion was performed and histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of odontogenic keratocyst. The patient is being monitored and undergoing rehabilitation with dental implants. The odontogenic keratocyst is an asymptomatic lesion, as in the present case, the diagnosis is an incidental finding.
