Resumo: A 37-year-old woman attended dental care after noticing an increase in volume. Some time ago, she reports felt the sensation of a loose tooth in the area. There are no systemic comorbidities. On clinical examination, an increase in volume in the mandibular region was noted. In the tomography examination, a heterogeneous hyperdense area is observed, surrounded by a hypodense halo, associated with the root of tooth 35. The continuity of the periodontal ligament space is not observed. The diagnostic hypotheses were cementoblastoma and osteoblastoma. An excisional biopsy and horizontal odontosection of tooth 35 were performed to preserve the alveolar bone. On microscopic examination, a dense and cellularized cement mass, with deposits of osteoid material, prominent basophilic reversible lines, and voluminous cemetoblasts were observed. The continuity of the neoplastic mass with the dentin of the tooth fragment was noted. The diagnosis was cementoblastoma. The patient is undergoing clinical follow-up.
