Título: FOREIGN BODY REACTION DUE TO AESTHETIC FILLER MATERIAL: A CASE REPORT OF MULTIPLE NODULES ON THE UPPER AND LOWER LIPS

Resumo: A 53-year-old female was referred to the stomatology clinic with a complaint of "lumps in the lips". On examination, a nodule was detected in the perioral region near the contour of the upper lip on the right side. Further examination revealed multiple nodules, which were normochromic, firm, painless, measuring 0.5 cm in diameter, located on the upper and lower labial mucosa. Initially, the patient reported not having undergone any aesthetic procedure. Excisional biopsy of two nodules, one from the upper lip and one from the lower lip, was performed. The diagnostic hypotheses were dermoid cyst and foreign body reaction. Histopathological analysis revealed a foreign body-type granulomatous reaction. Upon probing, the patient recalled having undergone lip augmentation 4 years previously. The definitive diagnosis was foreign body reaction to aesthetic filler. The patient is currently under follow-up.
