Resumo: Condyloma acuminata represents one of the clinical manifestations caused by human papillomavirus (HPV), a sexually transmitted infection (STI) that can affect the oral cavity. This present study reports two cases of patients diagnosed with condyloma acuminata in the oral mucosa. Case 1: A 21-year-old female patient presents a solitary nodular lesion in the dorsum of the tongue, which spontaneously appeared 8 years ago. Case 2: A 48-year-old male patient presents simultaneous lesions, one located on the mouth floor and the other on the ventral surface of the tongue, with an unknown duration of evolution. In both patients, excisional biopsy of the lesions was performed, with in situ hybridization demonstrating positivity for HPV DNA (broad spectrum), leading to a final diagnosis of condyloma acuminata. In addition to diagnosing and treating these lesions, the dentist should also be responsible for guiding and raising awareness among patients about oral infections related to HPV.
