Resumo: Clinical Case: 34-year-old male patient who has recently presented progressive mandibular pain, which was mistakenly associated with chronic periodontitis or caries, undergoing molar extraction, when consulting Maxillofacial Surgery and Pathology, it is complemented With x-rays and computed tomography, osteomyelitis or malignant neoplasia is suspected due to the degree of deterioration of the bone tissue. After the histopathological study and complementary immunohistochemical tests, the diagnosis of Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis is reached, the systemic evaluation that includes Pet Scan is completed to establish the level of compromise of the patient and select the best treatment strategy. There is involvement of one knee and the contralateral mandibular retromolar region. The patient receives chemotherapy and stabilizes his condition.
