Resumo: Enchondromas are cartilaginous origin benign tumors, uncommon in craniofacial regions, with the condyle and coronoid process being the most affected sites. Chondrosarcomas are malignant tumors characterized by cartilage formation. This work aims to present a 25-year-old male case, Caucasian, affected by enchondroma in 2021, in the maxilla central region with slow evolution and asymptomatic. The diagnosis was made in 2022 through imaging tests and histopathological analysis. The treatment performed was total surgical tumor excision and the patient was referred for oral and maxillofacial prosthetic rehabilitation. During rehabilitation in 2023, there was a new diagnosis of progression to chondrosarcoma, with the help of the prosthetists clinical evaluation, imaging and pathological examinations. Treatment was performed with surgery and radiotherapy with the use of an intraoral stent. The patient is disease-free and rehabilitated using a maxillary obturator prosthesis.
