Resumo: Graft versus Host Disease(GVHD) is a complication associated with Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT), manifesting in acute or chronic forms. The objective of this study was to conduct a case report utilizing Photobiomodulation (PMB) for the treatment of GVHD lesions. The patient, a 57-year-old female diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, underwent BMT and was subsequently referred by the hematologist following the diagnosis of GVHD, characterized by lesions present on the buccal mucosa, palate, and lateral edge of the tongue.A PMB protocol was implemented using a red laser with an energy output of 0.5J, applied uniformly to the entire lesion. In instances of ulcerated lesions, an energy output of 1J was necessary. After the 6th session, there was regression of the lesions in the buccal mucosa and palate and after the 8th session, the patient reported an improvement in symptoms in general. In conclusion, photobiomodulation represents an additional treatment modality for oral GVHD
