Resumo: Female patient, Caucasian, 41 years old, presented to the hospital with complaints of discomfort in the pharyngeal region and the presence of multiple lesions in the mouth, both of which began after one month of using medication to treat ocular toxoplasmosis. Intraoral clinical examination revealed multiple purplish macules and papules, some of which were ulcerated, with a sessile base and approximately 2mm in size, located in the retromolar triangle and hard palate regions. It was decided to perform an incisional biopsy of the lesions, which resulted in abundant bleeding during surgery. The collected material was sent for histopathological analysis. On the day of the biopsy, a serological test for HIV was performed, yielding a positive result. The clinical diagnosis of Kaposis sarcoma was confirmed through histopathological examination using H&E staining and immunohistochemistry with D240, CD31, CD34, and HHV8 antibody markers. The patient is currently stable and under clinical follow-up.
