Resumo: Plasmablastic Lymphoma is rare and aggressive variant of non-Hodgkins Lymphoma which generally manifests itself in patients with immunosuppression, predominantly associated with the human immunodeficiency virus and in the majority with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection.Male patient, 67 years old had referred for evaluation of a persistent lesion after endodontic treatment on teeth 26 and 27. Clinically had an ulcerated nodular lesion in the gingival region of teeth 26 and 27 accompanied by a hardened and asymptomatic lymph node on the face left.Radiographic findings suggested bone invasion and squamous cell carcinoma was initially suspected. Biopsy performed, microscopic analysis and immunohistochemical panel revealed neoplastic proliferation of plasmacytoid cells with marked pleomorphism and evident nucleoli, positive for LCA, CD138, MUM-1, Kappa, Lambda and Ki-67 index in 90% of the cells positive EBV led to the diagnosis of Plasmablastic Lymphoma and the patient was referred to the infectious disease and hematology services to treatment.
