Resumo: Infantile hemangioma is a benign vascular tumor diagnosed by anamnesis and physical examination, and occasionally Doppler ultrasonography, to observe vascular flowmetry and the stage of maturity. The aim of this work is to present two cases of infantile hemangioma, in female patients aged six and seven, diagnosed clinically; and to highlight the importance of Doppler ultrasonography in determining the stages of maturity and the therapy used. In the first case, a six-year-old patient, the hemangioma was located on the upper lip, with changes in volume and color, leading to bullying at school. Doppler ultrasonography demonstrated an increase in peripheral feeding vessels, and laser treatment was chosen. In the other case, a seven-year-old patient, there was an increase in volume in the inner portion of the upper lip, interfering with speech and chewing. On Doppler ultrasonography, the hemangioma showed few peripheral vessels, and we opted for photo-coagulation treatment with surgical laser.
