Resumo: Case 1: 8-year-old female patient presented with erythematous areas with shallow ulcers, associated with white plaques, on the belly of the anterior tongue, bilaterally, in addition to a well-defined white plaque, with a smooth surface, asymptomatic, on the dorsum of the left anterior tongue, measuring 8 mm in diameter. The lesions appeared approximately 4 months ago. Case 2: 13-year-old female patient presented with white plaques and streaks across almost the entire length of the anterior two-thirds of the dorsum of the tongue. The lesions had been present for 3 years and were asymptomatic. In both cases, incisional biopsies were performed and confirmed the diagnosis of lichen planus. Due to painful symptoms, topical use of triamcinolone was prescribed for lesions on the belly of the tongue for the first patient. Both patients remain under clinical follow-up without painful symptoms after 2 years.
