Resumo: Female patient, 66 years old, presented to the stomatology service complaining of pain at the site of a tooth extraction performed 2 years ago. During the anamnesis, the patient reported being a smoker and having discoid lupus erythematosus (DLE). On extraoral clinical examination, atrophic, erythematous, desquamative, and hyperpigmented lesions were observed on the skin of the nasal and lower lip regions. Intraoral examination revealed symptomatic erythroleukoplakic lesions on the buccal mucosa and upper right gingiva, and a leukoplakic area on the left upper alveolar ridge. The patient is under medical control with a rheumatologist and sought assistance for oral lesions. Therefore, the objective of this case report is to present the clinical manifestations of DLE with oral and facial clinical manifestations and the role of the Dentist in the diagnosis, control, and treatment of oral lesions.
