Resumo: Adenocarcinoma is estimated as the third most common malignancy of the salivary glands and represent a wide array of pathologies due to the numerous cell types present in the salivary secretory acini and ductal units. This study reports a case of a 70-year-old female patient who presented a progressive growth on right submandibular region, with pain and dysphagia. The main hypothesis was salivary gland tumour and an incisional biopsy was performed to confirm its suspicion. Microscopic examination revealed neoplastic lesion of variable cell morphology, with epithelioid aspect and a certain degree of pleomorphism arranged in a solid pattern. This was identified as a ectodermal neoplasm with origin to be clarified. Immunohistochemical analysis revealed positivity for cyrokeratin AE1/AE3 and focal positivity for P63 and S-100 protein, concluding the diagnosis of Carcinoma with papillary pattern. Therefore, showing compatibility with Adenocarcinoma Not Otherwise Specified (NOS). The patient has been referred to oncological treatment.
