Resumo: We present the case of a 33-year-old woman diagnosed with Fanconi Anemia who exhibited white plaques on the hard palate and the left buccal mucosa, consistent with leukoplakias. Incisional biopsies revealed hyperkeratosis and acanthosis without dysplasia on the palate, and mild dysplasia on the buccal mucosa. Both lesions underwent surgical intervention. Six months post-procedure, the patient developed new leukoplakias on the palate, in addition to an erythroleukoplakic lesion on the left buccal mucosa. Based on prior analysis, a second surgical treatment was performed, utilizing a diode laser on the palate and a scalpel blade on the buccal mucosa, resulting in hyperkeratosis and acanthosis without dysplasia. The patient continues to undergo regular follow-up totaling 16 months without evidence of malignant transformation. This case underscores the critical importance of surveillance and early intervention in individuals with Fanconi Anemia to mitigate the risk of oral squamous cell carcinoma.
