Resumo: Symptoms began with eye pain, severe headache, scalp sensibility, eyebrow pain, which was only relieved with ice compress locally applied. Five days later it evolved to eye swelling, vesicles in eyelid and forehead, and irradiated mouth pain. Treatment was made with ophthalmic and oral Acyclovir, oral complex B, and analgesics. On the sixth day, the patient sought laser therapy treatment for the vesicles. The protocol was made in three spaced sessions. On the day after the first laser application, all vesicles turned to crust, and the patient referred to a great relief in pain and itchiness. Laser therapy is known to be used for herpes simplex vesicles treatment, as it promotes reduction in pain, accelerates the healing process and can stimulate the hosts immune response against the virus. Therefore, the use of laser therapy can be beneficial for patients, when there is a risk of contamination in near tissues.
