Resumo: To assess the epidemiology and track the primary alterations in maxillomandibular radiographic features in patients receiving treatment at a referral hospital for multiple myeloma (MM). An observational, cross-sectional study was conducted, focusing on the observation, analysis, and recording of clinical and radiographic data from patient records. Patient records and panoramic maxillomandibular radiographs from MM patients treated between 2016 and 2021 were obtained for analysis. This study included 18 cases of MM patients, aged between 36 and 78 years, with a prevalence in male individuals. In radiographic analyses, the main maxillomandibular alterations identified were presence of punched-out osteolytic lesions, presence of solitary osteolytic lesions, presence of bone sclerosis, and changes in bone trabeculation, most commonly affecting the mandible. In reference to radiographic findings, it was noted that patients with MM receiving treatment had osteolytic lesions, bone sclerosis, and altered bone trabeculation. These findings highlight the significance of dentists being aware of the diagnosis, carrying out the proper clinical management and assessment of the condition, as well as providing early treatment and follow-up.
