Resumo: Vaporizers, also known as vape or electronic cigarettes, are increasingly popular, especially among young people. Similarly to traditional cigarettes, vaporizers can compromise the immune system and hinder the bodys natural responses, thus creating an environment conducive to the development of microorganisms such as Human Papillomavirus (HPV). HPV, primarily transmitted through sexual contact, varies from high to low risk and can have clinical or subclinical manifestations. Its prevalence and clinical expression correlate with the hosts immune system deficiency. This study aims to investigate the association between vaporizers and HPV incidence in the oral cavity, aiming to understand potential oral microenvironment alterations caused by vaporizers that favor HPV prevalence in the mouth. The chosen methodology was integrative bibliographic research in the databases of LILACS, SciELO, and PubMed, conducted from October 2022 to February 2023, using Portuguese and English descriptors: "HPV," "oral cavity," "electronic cigarettes," "human papillomavirus," "vaporizers," "electronic nicotine delivery system." After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 959 articles were found. Of these, only 9 articles were included in this review after complete reading. The association between vaporizers and HPV prevalence can be inferred, considering their similarities in modulating the hosts immune system.
