Resumo: This research assessed the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on care for patients with Oral Immune-Mediated Lesions (OILs), examining demographic, clinical features, and treatment protocols. Through an observational study, medical records from the Oral Diagnosis clinic of the Federal University of Sergipe between January 2019 to March 2020 and September 2021 to December 2022 were reviewed to compare attendance before and after pandemic-related interruptions. Descriptive statistics revealed 1427 attendances and 428 evasions among 767 patients. Among them, 21 had OILs, predominantly women (80.95%), with a mean age of 50.53 years. Painful symptoms were reported in 61.90% of cases, with white (61.90%) and multiple (90.48%) lesions being common, especially in the buccal mucosa (85.71%), gums (28.57%), and tongue (23.81%). Oral lichen planus (57.14%) and pemphigus vulgaris (19.05%) were frequent diagnoses, often requiring multiple consultations (71.43%). Corticosteroids were the primary initial therapy (66.67%). Reassessment showed 63.90% of patients, with 84.62% experiencing lesion and symptom reduction. The study highlights the pandemics impact on clinic visits, underscoring the need for further research on OILs clinical characteristics and treatment effectiveness.
