Resumo: Pleomorphic adenoma (PA) is the most prevalent salivary gland neoplasm, representing approximately 60 to 70% of all salivary gland tumors. The definitive diagnosis is established through a histopathological examination following a biopsy. This study aims to present the case of a 66-year-old woman who was experiencing difficulties in eating, breathing, and speaking. She presented with an extensive nodule characterized by a fibroelastic consistency in the left soft palate region, which had been progressing over 5 years. The lesion measured 56mm in diameter on Computer Tomography and was diagnosed as pleomorphic adenoma through an incisional biopsy. Treatment involved complete surgical excision with a safety margin, encompassing the adjacent mucosa and periosteum, with communication to the upper airway. Additionally, rehabilitative measures were undertaken, including the use of an obturator prosthesis. After 6 months, the patient remains free from the lesion and reports no further difficulties with eating, breathing, or speaking.
