Resumo: Objective: report the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of a series of cases of adenoid cystic carcinoma, as well as to explore the clinical characteristics and microscopic variability. Methodology: retrospective, observational, descriptive study. Medical records and archived reports from the years 2012 to 2022 were analyzed. Results: A total sample of 6 cases was obtained, 50% female and 50% male. The average age was 43.5 years. The most recurrent biopsy was incisional (50%), followed by excisional and FNAB (16.6% both). In 50% of cases, the tumor was in the minor salivary glands of the palate and in the other 50% in the major salivary glands, with the submandibular gland being the most affected. The most observed histological pattern was cribriform (60%) and 40% of cases showed perineural invasion. The most adopted treatment was surgical resection (50%). Local recurrence was observed in 33.3% of the sample, regional metastasis in 16.6% and distant metastasis in 16.6%. Conclusion: It is noted that surgical resection is important for a good outcome. Long-term follow-up is essential to be able to track possible new injuries, especially in cases where a comprehensive surgical approach is not performed and to manage treatment sequelae.
