Resumo: Four patients (three females, one male), aged between 11 and 36 years old, presented upper jaw abnormalities, including a retained tooth, a radiographic finding, and two abnormal swellings on anterior and right portions of the upper jaw. Radiological exams exhibited three patients with a radiopaque image surrounded by a radiolucent halo, one had a radiolucent image with central radiopacities, two cases were associated with impacted teeth. Surgical removal was performed in all cases and the hypotheses varied between compound odontoma, dentigerous cyst and adenomatoid odontogenic tumor. Histopathological analysis revealed cysts lined by odontogenic epithelium with a basal layer, resembling ameloblasts, arranged in palisade formation containing calcified ghost cells and dentin-like material. The diagnoses comprised one case of calcifying odontogenic cyst (COC) and three COCs associated with odontoma. Patients continue to be monitored without signs of recurrence.
