Resumo: Granular cell tumor (GCT) is an uncommon benign neoplasm, with probable origin in Schwann cells. It tends to occur more frequently in the head and neck region, between the second and sixth decades of life, without sex predilection. It is characterized by granular cells amidst skeletal muscle and often presents pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia, which can be confused with squamous cell carcinoma. A 57-year-old female patient presented with a well-defined nodular lesion, flaccid consistency, smooth surface, yellowish coloration, with approximately 4cm in diameter, located on the right-side border of the tongue with 5 months of evolution. An excisional biopsy was performed, and histological sections revealed fragments of the lesion covered by para-keratinized epithelium with granular cells in the lamina propria and amidst muscle fibers, which were positive for S-100. The diagnosis of GCT was established, and the patient continues in regular follow-up without signs of recurrence.
