Título: ISOLATED CUTANEOUS SARCOIDOSIS LOCALIZED ON THE CHIN REGION

Resumo: A 45-year-old woman presented with a nodule on the chin causing aesthetic complaints with 2 years' evolution time. No relevant systemic alterations were detected in the anamnesis. Clinically, a nodule was detected, normochromic, with well-defined margins, resistant to palpation, asymptomatic, 2 cm in size located on the chin. The presumptive diagnosis was dermoid cyst, and an excisional biopsy of the lesion was performed. Intraoperatively, it was observed that the nodule was subcutaneous and encapsulated. Microscopic sections revealed several non-necrotizing sarcoid granulomas presenting epithelioid cells and some Langhans-type cells, surrounded by compact collagen fibers. The final diagnosis was cutaneous sarcoidosis. One month follow-up showed normal healing of the chin region. After medical evaluation, no systemic sarcoidosis manifestation was diagnosed. Although sarcoidosis is more common in middle-aged women, the facial cutaneous occurrence without systemic manifestations, as reported in the present case, is a rare entity.
