Resumo: The present study reports a clinic case of Mucopolysaccharidosis Type VI (MPS VI), and the importance of dental treatment in these patients. A 6-years-old male, being monitored by a neuropediatrician, attended the dental service for patients with special needs. The patient had already undergone surgery to remove an inguinal hernia and presented neurological changes. In the dental evaluation, presented poor oral hygiene and gingival bleeding, with multiple caries lesions. During the radiographic evaluation, bone deformity in the right and left mandibular condyles and changes in the development of the maxilla and mandible were noted. In dental radiographic aspects, a delay in the process of mineralization and eruption of permanent teeth, the presence of residual roots in teeth 75 and 74, as well as hypertrophy of the alveolar processes and hyperplasia of dentin follicles were observed. This patient now is under medical and dentistry supervision.
