Título: OSTEOLIPOMA ON THE MENTONIAN REGION OF AN ELDERLY: A CASE REPORT

Resumo: A 65-year-old male patient with hypertension and thyroid disorders was admitted to the hospital with an oval asymptomatic soft tissue lesion measuring around 18mm in the Mentonian region for about 18 months of evolution. The patients history revealed the presence of several lipomas around the body. The CT scan showed a mixed lesion with hyperdensity in the periphery and hypodensity in the central region. An excisional biopsy was carried out using intraoral access under the clinical hypothesis of lipoma. Microscopic evaluation revealed the presence of numerous mature adipocytes, sometimes arranged in lobules and separated by fibrous connective tissue. In other areas, islands of osteoid material and intralesional mature bone tissue were also observed, which led to the diagnosis of osteolipoma. The patient is currently being followed up, with no signs of recurrence. The present lesion may be part of a systemic condition that needs further investigation.
