Resumo: The present work aims to report the prevalence of lesions of mesenchymal origin diagnosed in a reference oral pathology service in Amazonas, in addition to outlining the epidemiological profile of its user population according to sex, age group, skin color and location of the lesion. It's a quantitative, cross-sectional and retrospective study of patients diagnosed in the aforementioned service, through reports issued between 2012 and 2022. 621 reports were obtained, of which 310 were excluded according to exclusion criteria (absence of one or more clinical information - gender, age group, skin color and location of the lesion), with n=311 valid for the research. The patients were prevalently female (n=197), melanoderm (n=139) and adults (n=234). The 5 most prevalent lesions were: Inflammatory Fibrous Hyperplasia (n=72), Giant Cell Fibroma (n=36), Pyogenic Granuloma (n=33), Chronic Hyperplastic Gingivitis (n=15) and Foreign Body Type Granuloma (n=9). The prevalence of mesenchymal lesions of reactional origin indicates that exposure of the mouth to trauma from prostheses or parafunctional activities, and microorganisms, are common etiological factors of oral lesions in Estate of Amazonas. The main use of the service from females is commonly mentioned in diferent works, explained by the greater byself care they have. Funding: FAPEAM.
