Resumo: Plasmacytoma is a malignant neoplasm of plasma cells, with more than half of plasmacytomas spreading and progressing to Multiple Myeloma. The presented case involves a 68-year-old female patient, of fair complexion, who was in remission from multiple myeloma and being followed by her hematologist. Her main complaint was "inflammation" and gingival bleeding. Upon intraoral physical examination, localized gingival hyperplasia was noted in the left premolar area, with significant mobility and intrusion observed during manipulation of that tooth. A periapical X-ray was performed, revealing bone loss and an oval-shaped radiolucent area between the middle and cervical thirds. Due to unfavorable conditions, tooth extraction was performed, and the extracted tooth and adjacent gingiva were sent for histological examination, which confirmed the diagnosis of plasmacytoma. The patient was referred back to the hematologist. This case highlights the importance of oral evaluation in onco-hematologic patients.
