Resumo: Oral foreign body lesions often masquerade as other pathological conditions, leading to unexpected clinical scenarios. We present four cases of patients with exogenous dental material fragments, including two identified as resin, one as bone wax, and one as silicone rubber. Patients with resin in the oral mucosa reported symptomatic ulcers and increased swelling, while others presented with a fistula and a piece of yellow silicone rubber resembling exposed necrotic bone, both asymptomatic. Clinical diagnoses included bone sequestrum, fibro-osseous lesion, and/or osteonecrosis. Removal of the foreign material resulted in a cure for all cases. Clinicians and pathologists should exercise caution and awareness, as foreign bodies can cause accidental or iatrogenic lesions that complicate the differential diagnosis.
