Resumo: A 75-year-old female patient presented with an increased volume in the mouth in 2019, which made fitting the upper denture difficult. In 2021, a biopsy diagnosed myoepithelial carcinoma; however, the patient refused to accept the diagnosis and opted for radiesthesia with a TAG with a field graph instead. By 2023, tomography revealed multiple areas of invasion. The second biopsy confirmed squamous cell carcinoma associated with Human Papillomavirus (HPV) 16. Panoramic radiography for pre-treatment oral suitability planning showed sunray images in the zygomatic region. The proposed treatment was intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and cisplatin. Despite the evidence, the patient persisted in denying the cancer diagnosis, considering it a bacterial infection, which illustrates a complex case due to treatment resistance associated with untreated psychological issues.
