Resumo: Chondrosarcomas are slow-growing malignant neoplasms that can affect bones, soft tissues and the larynx, whose recomended treatment in most cases is resective surgery to remove the tumor mass. The aim of this essay is to present a case report about the dental treatment carried out on a patient diagnosed with chondrosarcoma of the nasal septum. This was a 28-year-old leukoderma female patient, referred by the radio-oncologist for evaluation and dental preparation. During the intra-oral physical examination, a loss of tissue continuity of approximately 2cm in diameter was observed in the soft palate region, a sequela resulting from the cancer surgeries she had undergone. She was in tumor treatment proservation and a palatal obliterating prosthesis with a Hawley arch was made since she was totally dentate. After closing the osteomucosal defect with the prothesis, the patients quality of life improved, especially in terms of eating and speaking.
