Resumo: Giant-cell fibroma (GCF) is a benign localized fibrous mucosal mass affecting the oral cavity, treated by surgical excision and showing good prognosis. Herein, we report a case of a 13-year-old female referred for the evaluation of a 6-month evolution asymptomatic lesion located on the anterior mandible region. Extraoral exam was non-contributory. The intraoral examination revealed the presence of a pedunculated with papillary surface mass on the attached gingiva located in the area between the left lower lateral incisor and left lower cuspid, measuring approximately 4 x 1 mm with firm consistency and brown pigmentation. The diagnostic hypothesis included the squamous papilloma and traumatic fibroma and an excisional biopsy was performed under local anesthesia. The microscopic analysis of the specimen confirmed the diagnosis of (GCF). The patient recovery was uneventful and there are no signs of local recurrence on the current follow-up.
