Resumo: A 68-year-old woman presented a chief complaint of a purple lesion on the lip, with increasing size over two years. She reported hypertension and arthrosis. Physical examination revealed a purple, lobulated, well-defined, sessile, and soft nodule on the right side of the lower lip vermilion, measuring 10 mm. Vitropressure was positive, and ultrasonographic examination with Doppler revealed a fusiform, hypoechoic image with discrete vascularization inside and labial artery nearby. The diagnosis was vascular lesion and ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy was performed using Ethamolin® (ethanolamin oleate 50 mg/ml). Two application sessions were performed, with a 28-day interval between them. In each session, a total dose of 0.1 ml of Ethamolin® was injected, divided into two intralesional points. The patient reported a slight burning sensation during the day of application, with no other symptoms or complaints. After 28 days of follow-up, the lesion receded, with no signs of fibrosis.
