Resumo: Objective: To assess the oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) of children and adolescents with cancer. Material and methods: Electronic searches on EMBASE, LILACS, PubMed, Scopus and Web of Science databases and grey literature were performed up to October 2023. The risk of bias was assessed by using the Joanna Briggs Institutes Critical Appraisal Checklist. Results: The electronic search identify 27,684 studies. Duplicates were removed and after reading the titles and abstracts, 35 studies remained for full reading. Three cross-sectional studies and one randomized clinical trial were included. 253 children and adolescents with cancer were evaluated for OHRQoL by using OHIP-14 and Early Childhood Oral Health Impact Scale (ECOHIS) questionnaires. Among the cross-sectional studies, one showed high risk of bias and the other two studies had an uncertain risk of bias. The randomized clinical trial had inadequacy in only one of the 13 JBI requisites assessed. All studies showed a weak impact of OHRQoL on the populations studied. Conclusion: Although a weak impact was identified on the OHRQoL in children and adolescents with cancer, it was not possible to obtain consistent findings due to the limitations of the studies and very low certainty of evidence.
