Título: ODONTOGENIC KERATOCYST: A CLINICAL CASE REPORT.

Resumo: Anamnesis and clinical examination must be carried out on all patients, together with imaging exams, providing reliable information, especially in the presence of pathologies. Case report: male patient, 13 years old, sought the endodontist complaining of pain in tooth 22, suggestive of an abscess. On clinical examination, slight facial asymmetry and swelling in the right jaw region were noted. In the initial consultation, a panoramic x-ray was recommended. A radiolucent image was observed in the region of the ramus, angle and body of the right mandible extending to teeth 31 and 30. The tomographic examination verified the presence of a hypodense, multilocular image, with the diagnostic hypotheses: Ameloblastoma, Keratocyst and Dentigerous Cyst. Histopathological result: Odontogenic keratocyst. Marsupialization treatment was performed. The importance of evaluating the oral cavity as a whole, not just the tooth to be treated, is highlighted, and the use of panoramic radiography in the diagnosis is essential.
