Título: Ameloblastic carcinoma in mandible: a case report

Resumo: This case occurred in a 32-year-old female patient, who consulted a Stomatology service complaining of growth on the anterior part of the mandible, with approximately 3 cm in size, which had developed over a period of three month and painful on intraoral palpation. Orthopantomography showed a multilocular lesion with a poorly defined border affecting the region of teeth 32 to 46. Computed tomography revealed a poorly defined lesion in the symphysis and right body of the mandible with vestibular cortex destroyed. After performing routine preoperative tests without noting changes, incisional biopsy was performed under local anesthesia and the histopathological diagnosis was ameloblastic carcinoma. The patient disappeared for 3 months and the lesion increased significantly in this time period. After retorn, she was referred to surgery service for treatment and the histopathological diagnosis was confirmed. She has been under strict clinical follow-up for about two years without recurrence or metastasis.
