Resumo: A 55-years-old female patient that sought the stomatology clinic complaining of a nodule that appeared near the lower gum about a month ago. The patient reported that after compressing the nodule, a visible pink mass appeared on the oral mucosa near the lower gingiva. During anamnesis, the patient reported that she had undergone facial dermal filling with hydroxyapatite microspheres about a year ago. On physical examination, a well-delimited, irregularly shaped, solid-consistent, pinkish-yellowish mass was observed, covered by intact mucosa, measuring approximately 8x12mm. The main diagnostic hypothesis was foreign body reaction to filling material. During an incisional biopsy, it was observed that the material had a rubbery consistency and was adhered to the mucosa and underlying muscle tissue. Anatomopathological examination revealed rounded structures containing granular material surrounded by mononuclear inflammatory infiltrate and foreign body-type giant cells. The diagnosis was foreign body granuloma. Patient remains under clinical follow-up.
